Re: Humphrey's Half Moon Inn & Suites
Our first impression of our room was that it was dingy and dull. Well needed of a makeover. Really liked the private patio area though that faced the SD Bay area. The interior grounds and gardens were beautifully kept and very lush. We paid $10/day to park which wasn't too bad considering how much it is to park in other SD hotels.
The view across the bay from our room at the ftont of the hotel was beautiful at night with San Diego all lit up. By day, with binoculars, it was possible to see the USS Midway along with the ferries and cruise ships.
We found the bed to be really comfortable but the pillows thin and a bit lumpy.
John Legend happened to be in concert while we were staying there. We were able to sit out by the pool with drinks and food and enjoyed the music for FREE!

Re: Humphrey's Half Moon Inn & Suites
Every year we go to San Diego for the Labor Day Weekend. This year was the first time that we stayed at Humphrey's Half Moon Inn and Suites. We met two other families there and were able to get all three of our rooms on the same floor. Because it was a holiday weekend, the hotel was full yet the service did not suffer. We ate at the hotel restaurant the first night and the next night we ate at Brigante which was a very short walk from the hotel. Great food and excellent service. The wine list was impressive as well. Room service at the hotel seemed to take a while but maybe it was just because we were all starving and hadn't eaten anything all day long. When it arrived, the food was very fresh and hot.
