I prefer to relax on my vacations instead of hopping around to all the tourist destinations most people go to. I’m looking for a hotel that’s going to be relatively free of little kids running around and people with fanny packs on.

There are a couple of resorts in Carlsbad and La Jolla that almost transport you to another country. They’re so secluded and have beautiful gardens to relax in. They aren’t too far from the beach either, you may find locals there this time of year but the beaches will be a lot less crowded than in the summer!
