The Comfort Suites Otay Mesa is a safe, clean hotel - Review
The Comfort Suites Otay Mesa is a nice, clean property. It was great having the microwave and refrigerator in the room due to a lack of open food choices. Although I would only recommend for short stays, as everything in the area closes early. It is hard to find anything that is open late for dinner or even fast food, the McDonalds nearby closes at 11)
We had a good sense of security at this hotel even though it is in an industrial area. The hotel is well lit at night.
The drive from the hotel to downtown is 30-40 minutes. If you are coming or going to Mexico, this would be an ideal hotel for you to stay in.

Nice and clean hotel with a great value. The 30 minutes to downtown or the beach didn't matter to us since the place was quiet and we had a great sleep there. In the night we went to Imperial Beach and had a good dinner. For traveling to Mexico, this is a bargain and a great value. We travel a lot and have had miserable experiences with Motel 8, and finally found a chain which offers comfort along with great service.
