Old Town Courtyard San Diego - Review
For us, The Old Town Courtyard was a great deal. We weren't looking for a 4 or 5 star hotel to stay in while we were vacationing in San Diego. Instead, we wanted a middle of the road, clean, and safe hotel and that is exactly what we got!
This hotel is located right next to the on-ramp for the I-5 however, we requested a room that overlooked the pool area and never once, were we bothered by any noise from the interstate or anything else for that matter.
We really appreciated the location of this hotel It was 3 short blocks (walking) from the Old Town District and it's many bars and restaurants. The lobby area of this hotel was clean and comfortable. Not a bad place to pass some time while waiting on others or to simply relax and unwind. The pool and hot tub area was very nice and there were propane heaters in the courtyard that kept us warm after we got finished swimming.
All in all, The Courtyard by Marriott in Old Town was a very enjoyable experience for our entire family.

Courtyard by Marriot Old Town - Hotel Review
The Courtyard by Marriott Old Town is located in downtown historic district, conveniently very close to San Diego airport, and other popular attractions like SeaWorld and San Diego Zoo. It's in great location with easy access to everything that you need, even has restaurant and pool on premise. This beautiful property was well designed in a Spanish style. Rooms are nicely decorated with down comforter for the bed and flat screen TV. The service and the staff were wonderful. Be prepare to pay for on-site parking. I would stay here again.

Courtyard by Marriott Old Town Review
It's pretty much a standard Marriott Courtyard located in Old town. Not a great bargain, but not a bad price either. The thing about any of the hotels in the Marriott chain, the beds are always comfy! Parking in a gated underground garage will cost you $15 per night.
We had a room facing the town side so we never heard any of the noise coming from the traffic of I-5. If your room faces the interstate, you might hear a bit of the noise. I suggest requesting a room facing the town side instead.
This hotel is two short blocks to the main area of Old Town where there is a plethora of cute mexican restaurants that are all geared towards the tourists.
Safe area to walk around at night. No need to worry about your safety what-so-ever, in or around this hotel.

Re: Courtyard by Marriott Old Town
We were pleased with our room at the Courtyard in Old Town San Diego. It is a great, solid hotel. The great thing about this hotel is it's location. Old Town is such a fun place to eat, drink, and play! Our room was on the concierge level which gave us access to the concierge lounge. Nice complimentary breakfast spread in the am and snacks and beverages in the evening. (honor system bar) This hotel is one of the older ones in the area but they have done a great job of maintaining it.
