Re: Estancia La Jolla
My husband had a convention to attend in downtown SD and decided to bring me along and would stay at Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa. We rolled into town and went to check-in at 4pm but were disappointed to find out that our room was not ready. Once we did get our room, it took 45 minutes and a phone call to get our luggage delivered to our room. Finally, we got to the pool and were able to unwind with a cocktail and a nice dip in the water.
We ate dinner at The Adobe in the hotel and it was a nice, quiet, and romantic dinner with excellent service. There was also another restaurant, The Mustang which was much more casual and had live music. We spent a lot of evenings in the Village, trying out the many different restaurants that are down there. We both agreed that our favorite restaurant was Donovan's Steakhouse that was located by a high-end shopping mall very close to our hotel. My mouth wasters just thinking about those fabulous filets!!!!
It was hard to leave this beautiful place after staying there all week. When we got home we discovered that there was an error on our bill. I made a call and all issues were resolved promptly and professionally. We would definitely stay there again but would also like to try their sister property L'Auberge in Del Mar.

Re: Estancia La Jolla
From the moment in which we checked-in to the second that we checked-out, our experience at The Estancia Hotel was nothing less than perfect. The young man at the front desk knew that it was a special weekend for us and gave us a beautiful corner suite that overlooked the pool area. We enjoyed room service the first night which was prompt and exceptionally tasty. Many thanks to those that work at The Estancia. People like you make the hotel a much better place!
