Hilton San Diego Needs a little TLC
Service is great but is to be expected from a Full Service Hilton Hotel. The gym/fitness center was probably the worst facility I have seen in a Hilton so far. The treadmills must have been from the 80's and the room itself was used as a laundry room/gym. Very strange! There were no towels to wipe down the machines after you were finished sweating all over them. There was not an attendant on duty, and there was no water available.
I do believe that this Hilton is in desperate need of a facelift and/or repairs. It is looking old and tired and needs a little TLC. Until this is done, I do not think we will be returning. There are so many other options in SD to chose from.

Hilton Mission Valley Review
The Hilton Mission Valley is strategically located in San Diego IF YOU HAVE A CAR. It is directly on Interstate 8. If you are a light sleeper request a room facing away from the highway. Unfortunately, our room faced the highway and it didn't help that housekeeping knocked on our door at 8"15 am on New Year's Day...UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Review for Hilton Mission Valley
Stayed over the Christmas break while visiting the in-laws. This was our first visit to this particular Hilton and we were very impressed. The staff was very friendly and appeared to go out of their way to be helpful. The room was quiet and nicely furnished. Nothing opulent but for the price, it was a good value.

Re: Hilton Mission Valley
This hotel is located just east of Hotel Circle. Close by are several restaurants and approx 10 minutes to any of the SD attractions. We had a room that faced I-8 and we had a bit of noise from the traffic. Not too terribly bad but I will request a different facing room next time.
We stayed on the executive level which gave us free internet. They do not have an executive lounge at this location like many other Hiltons do. It was a bit disappointing but we were given vouchers for two free breakfasts downstairs in the restaurant.
Hotel staff was professional and courteous. Housekeeping did a wonderful job of keeping things tidy without interrupting our stay.
