Would Stay at Marriott Del Mar Again
My mom came to visit this week and we couldn't get a good rate downtown so I checked the Marriott Del Mar and got a high floor room which gave us access to the executive lounge on the 11th floor. Somehow we also scored free breakfast too! The chef made his own granola which was so yummy!!! The room was average size-
The restaurant and pool area re spectacular. Outside there are fire pits and heat lamps to keep you warm. The DJ was pumping some decent tunes and everyone was dancing. Inside the restaurant has all these little niches where you can hang out.
In actuality, the hotel was only about 15 minutes from everything- Old Town, Gaslamp, airport etc. Torey pines Trails is really close and there are a lot of really great North County restaurants minutes from this hotel.

This facility conforms to the expected high standards of the Marriott chain. My room appeared to be recently refurnished but lacked a few expected items such as a bathroom fan, mini-bar/refrigerator, and electrical outlets on the desk. My room on the 4th floor had a nice distance view that compensated for the roof and equipment immediately below. Per another review, I self-parked behind the hotel using the self-park elevator rather than paying $16 for the lot. Checking in was quick and effortless. The fitness room had a nice view, excellent equipment, a basket of fruit and free bottled water.
I really liked the location of this San Diego Marriott that was away from the hustle and bustle of downtown.

I live in Orange County and stayed at this hotel for a quick little romantic weekend. It was our first time there and we were pleasantly pleased. Great rooms, Good Service, and Ideal location for just about everything!
