Summary
Describing itself as the “heartbeat” of the Gaslamp Quarter, Croce’s Restaurant & Jazz Bar is an absolute must. Chef and owner Ingrid Croce simply wants to share both her culinary creations along with the lasting memory of her late husband, musician Jim Croce. A warm, friendly atmosphere will meet you the moment you walk in the door. Whether you want to dance to live music or just listen while you dine on traditional American cuisine, Croce’s is truly a classic Gaslamp restaurant. Serving comfort foods like French onion soup and gourmet meatloaf with sautéed spinach and roasted garlic Yukon mash, Croce's knows how to take care of its guests. A winning wine list and exceptional, homemade desserts (vanilla lavender honey crème brulee is a modern twist on an old favorite!) make this dining experience extraordinary. You’re sure to get a feel for what downtown San Diego was like in days past.

Croce's Restaurant & Jazz Bar
Went to Croce's for some breakfast while I was in SD for a trade show. It is a good breafast place with a large menu that I was surprised to have seen. I went with the traditional eggs benedict because that is my all time favorite dish. It was served with some of these outrageous potatoes that is their side dish specialty. Great recommendation by the owner, Ingrid, whom by chance was flotating around greeting people.
Seems like this place caters to locals and tourists as well. They do a fine business there at Croce's Restaurant and Jazz Bar. Next time I'm in San Diego, I will check out their cocktails and live entertainment. I hear they can't be beat!
