Donovan's of La Jolla
We love steak and great wine so this was a perfect restaurant in the beautiful city of La Jolla. My Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection with great side orders, and I was very impressed with the service and the romantic ambience also.

Donovan's of La Jolla Review
We have always been fans of Morton's but now Donovan's has taken it's place. Wonderful atmosphere, top-notch service, extensive wine list, and the best darn steaks we have ever eaten! If you aren't in the mood for steaks, they also have deliciously prepared chicken and lamb chops that are outrageous! Everything is ordered a la carte and can be quite pricey though definitely worth it. Save room for their triple chocolate brownie dessert. It's a masterpiece!

We ate at Donovan's for the first time while we were staying in La Jolla and I have to say that both my husband and I agreed that it was our best meal ever! Many times at other steak houses, I suffer the horrified looks of waiters when I ask for my filet mignon cooked well done. It was different here- and my steak was cooked perfectly! Well but not dry... We also had the the Wedge and the Asparagus salads, creamed spinach, and sauteed mushrooms. Can you believe we even had room for the creme brulee and dutch apple pie?!! I had to be rolled out of there!
For every reason imagineable, I give Donovan's Steakhouse all perfect 5 stars!!!
