Summary
George’s on Fifth has long been a San Diego institution. Personally overseen by the restaurant’s namesake, George Harrington III, George’s on Fifth (or G5, at it is locally known) boasts some of San Diego’s finest steaks and finest wines.
G5’s local fame stems not only from George’s personal touch (frequently, the owner and sommelier meets and seats customers) but also from the building’s history: G5’s premises was originally Wyatt Earps’ Gambling Hall and Saloon. A large portrait of the former owner overlooks the dining room. Many other famous San Diegans also adorn G5’s walls.
Stop by for a glimpse of San Diego history and stay for the 35-day Aged Prime Certified Black Angus Steaks. They’re one of George’s delicacies and a unique offering.
