Summary

A “white tablecloth” establishment, The Palm is one of San Diego’s oldest restaurants, nestled in the stylish Gaslamp Quarter of downtown. Dining here takes you back to a time of long-standing tradition and elegance. Delicate dishware and sparkling cutlery let you know just how important and well-kept The Palm is.

With menu items such as the steamed Novia Scotia lobster and veal parmigiana, Italian and American cuisine blend together with impeccable flavor and an unforgettable essence. Huge family-sized side portions are meant for sharing – sautéed wild mushrooms and creamed spinach could be a meal in and of itself.

Featuring exclusive, hand-crafted cocktails, The Palm offers a top of the line drink menu. Treat yourself to The Vixen, a Palm-exclusive martini made with Belvedere Pomarancza vodka, peach liqueur, fresh orange and apricot, finally topped off with fresh lemon juice. Served shaken and chilled, you don’t want to miss out on this unique concoction.

Re: The Palm of San Diego

We had a fantastic waiter- attentive but not overbearing.  We were a group of 10 that had come over from the convention and were seated promptly.  The food, wine, and service was flawless.  Good place to go for a nice romantic evening though the restaurant is a bit loud.

Aside from the steaks, the best dish at our table was the Veal Marsala!

Be prepared to drop quite a few bucks...but definitely worth it!
