- Things to Do - This significant landmark separates North Pacific Beach from South Pacific Beach. The Crystal Pier was built in 1927, and the arched gateway over the entrance is a historical landmark. The first part of the pier is lined with blue cottages, where people having been staying since the 1930's. The pier is open to the public during daylight hours 7 days a week. At the end of the pier visitors can enjoy ocean views, watch surfers, or try fishing. The mussels attached to the pier pillars attract fish, making the pier a great fishing spot.

- The cottages are part of the Crystal Pier Hotel, so please be courteous of the occupants while walking out on the pier.
