Tour Stops
- History - The Gaslamp experienced a boom and bust that coincided with the gold rush of the late 1800's. After the bust, the area was flooded with bordellos and prostitution until the Stingaree Raids in 1912. Starting in the 1970's the area has been deemed a historic district, which united business and property owners and preserved beautiful buildings.
- Shopping - The Gaslamp is home to over 100 unique shops and the Horton shopping mall. You will find everything from upscale clothing stores to pawnshops. Just take a stroll down the streets to find what you are looking for. Visit the outdoor mall for all of your favorite name brand stores.
- Dining - Much like the shopping options, the Gaslamp is home to the greatest selection of eateries in San Diego. Choose from international cuisine, great steakhouses, or authentic Mexican restaurants, just to name a few.
- Entertainment - Enjoy great live music at venues like the Hard Rock Hotel, Spreckels Theater, and other restaurants. The Gaslamp has a lively nightlife scene with plenty of clubs and dancing. During the day you may run into talented street performers and artists.
