Tour Stops

  • Recreation - The park has over 19 miles of soft-sand beaches with designated swimming areas. They offer boat launching facilities perfect for kayaks, jet-skis, motor boats, or sailboats. Enjoy plenty of open grass for soccer, Frisbee, volleyball, and kites. For bike enthusiasts the park offers over 14 miles of concrete paths. Fishing is another popular activity at the park, just make sure to purchase a license.
  • Wildlife Preserves - Mariner's Point is home to the smallest tern species. Conservation efforts have protected the bird's nesting grounds, and the best time to view them is June-July. Perez Cove is a nesting site for the Great Blue Heron. These birds are recognizable from their long legs or necks, and can be seen year-round. The Kendall-Frost Reserve is a 16-acre salt marsh dedicated to preserving the Light-footed Clapper Rail and the Belding's Savannah Sparrow.
