Tour Stops
- The Boardwalk - The concrete path connecting north Pacific Beach and south Mission Beach is known as the Oceanfront boardwalk, which offers great sights and activities. Biking, rollerblading, skateboarding, and jogging are the common activities that take place along the 3.5 mile stretch. Speeds are regulated to no more than 8 miles an hour and no motor vehicles are allowed, which creates a chill vibe. Follow the lane guides and use common courtesy when riding the path. There is also plenty of sandy beach space to sink your toes into.
- Parking - During the summer months the boardwalks and beaches get busy so it is advised to get there early for optimum parking. You can park in one of the free lots located on West Mission Bay Drive and Gleason Road.
- Rentals - For those who do not have equipment there are numerous rental shops on Mission Boulevard and Ventura Place. The ideal place to start your ride is at Belmont Park, just look for the roller coaster and decide which way to go from there.

Mission Beach Boardwalk - Free and Fun!
What a great way to enjoy a beautiful San Diego morning, strolling down the Mission Beach Boardwalk. We started at the main lifeguard tower at Ventura Place. Wow... there were so many different kinds of characters roaming around, we probably could have hung out there all day and not have been bored at all! This is a good place to rent beach cruisers or roller blades to go up and down the boardwalk. We decided to just walk it and took our sweet little old time poking around. Great morning for absolutely no cost at all, except for the parking which didn't amount to much.
