San Diego Balboa Park
Balboa Park in San Diego was originally built for the 1915 Panama Exhibition, but it remains today as San Diego's beloved park. It is only minutes away from downtown San Diego hotels and the San Diego airport. San Diego's Balboa Park is home to many museums including the Natural History Museum, the San Diego Art Museum, the Museum of Photographic Arts and the Museum of Man to name a few. It ia also home of live Theatre with both the Starlight Theatre and the Old Globe Theatre residing there. The Spanish Village is a collective of local artisans and features beautiful crafts and art. The San Diego Zoo resides in Balboa Park as well. There are so many things to do in the park or you could just spend the day walking around and enjoying its beauty. Balboa Park truly is a gem on San Diego.
