Tower 23 is a fabulously fresh four-star hotel located on the shores of Pacific Beach. The name was derived from lifeguard tower number 23 which is located nearby. Killer hotel in Pacific Beach. Stay on the 2nd floor and you'll have a sliding door that leads directly to the pool deck. The ocean front rooms have balconies with incredible ocean views and are a long walk from the hotel lobby. Sometimes that is a good thing though! "Sanan" that works at the front desk hooked us up with the boat rentals. Ocean Tower 23 is relatively close to La Jolla which is really nice if you want a change of scenery. Snorkeling is good in La Jolla Cove-
