Kono's Cafe

Tasty egg ensembles and spectacular ocean views make Kono's a fan favorite among locals, surfers and visitors alike.

"Best breakfast in PB or anywhere else for that matter. Reasonable prices, great food, friendly staff, spectacular view and people watching. At peak times the line is long, but it moves fast."

Summary

Kono's, nestled along the oceanfront by the historic Crystal Pier, is one of PB's dining splendors. When you roll up on the scene there could be a bit of a wait, but that's just because this place is delicious all-around.

Just outside is the boardwalk, where a barrage of gorgeous people are strolling or cruising by. Select from four gigantic egg burritos: sausage, bacon, ham and vegetarian. Each one also includes a different additive such as pico de gallo, avocado, potatoes or cheese. Also featured is a delicious "eggs scrambled" dish with onions, peppers, cheese potatoes and bacon.

Then there's always the little and big breakfast. A side of melt-in-your-mouth bacon is also a fine choice. If you're not in the mood for breakfast they also have some tasty burgers on the menu. And to top it all off, the prices are quite reasonable indeed.

Re: Kono's Cafe

I had a little time to kill before my meeting began and I wanted a little something to eat but didn't want fast food nor did I have the time to sit in a restaurant so I took my cousins advice and went to Kono's Cafe.  This was my first time there so I really didn't know what to expect. I ordered the bacon and eggs plate that is served with potatoes and an english muffin.  MMMmmm was it ever good.  Everything is served on paper and the cups and silverware are plastic.  You can take it to go or you can eat it there.  Either way, the food is "home cooked" and down right cheap.

Re: Kono's Cafe

There are a lot of places to eat breakfast in PB but nothing compares to Kono's Cafe!  I always get their breakfast burrito that is scrambled eggs, cheese, bell pepper, ham, and onions.  It's killer and really hits the spot after a good surf.  There are always lines to get in on the weekends but well worth the wait.  If you aren't into waiting in line, just make sure that you get there by 8:00 or 8:30.  Great grind.  Dirt cheap.
