Just got back from the Welk Resort for a 50th Anniversary party for my parents. We weren't too sure how the kids would like it but actually they had the time of their lives. The pools are great and the slide was a hit for not only the kids but adults too. They also have a cute little pond to fish in. We stayed in the Mountain Villas which have incredible views. Easy access, right off of the 15 Freeway.

At first I was a little worried that the Welk Resort would be full of a bunch of blue haired ladies because they are pretty much the only ones who have ever even heard of Lawrence Welk. Don't let the name fool you though.... This resort is top-notch, located in the foothills of Escondido. A wonderful resort for all ages including little ones which are ususally a bit tough to accomodate. For those of you who golf, the course is beautiful. The greens are fast and the weather is always great in San Diego. Can't wait to go back!
